West Wales Ancestors is a genealogical and historical research service especially for Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.
I have been working as a freelance historical researcher since graduating in History in 2008. My work has been mainly family research, house history, to organize photographic, documentation exhibitions, and to give talks to historial groups or other societies. I am also a regular on B.B.C. Radio Cymru talking about genealogy and to solve problems that listeners have encountered when tracing their own family history.
During my spare time I have researched the lives of the twenty five men from the village of Cilgerran in West Wales who fell in the Great War. The outcome of this research has been the completion of a document of some 150 pages long, together with numerous photographs, which can now be found at the reception centre at Cilgerran Castle, in the research sections of both Haverfordwest and Cardigan Libraries, and at the Pembrokeshire County Archives in Haverfordwest. I am now working on a similar project for the men of Eglwyswrw.
